Joseph Smith's Birthplace Memorial in South Royalton, Vermont. The 40 foot piece of granite which weighed 40 tons was hauled to the site on a wagon pulled by horses and oxen from the quarry in Barre, Vermont. The memorial is 38-1/2 feet above ground one foot for each year of Joseph's life.
